Ag-Mart Produce Sponsors Nogales Employee Soccer Team

Nogales Soccer Team

Nogales, Ariz. – Ag-Mart Produce, a national tomato grower and shipper, is sponsoring a soccer team for employees in its Nogales packing facility.  The sponsorship provides new uniforms for team members to use while practicing and while playing against other teams in the Nogales International Soccer League.  The team, comprised of packing house employees and their friends, has increased morale and encouraged a healthy and fit lifestyle among the athletes.

“Just as the soccer league develops teamwork on the field, it also fosters camaraderie in the workplace as well,” said Kevin Delaney, director of sustainability and productivity at Ag-Mart.  “We are proud to continue our dedication to our workers’ health and well-being through support of the soccer team and reinforce Ag-Mart’s overall commitment to corporate social responsibility.”

A primary focus for Ag-Mart is its social responsibility initiatives with a particular focus on wellness for its workers.  The soccer team, currently in third place in the league standings with six wins, persuades Ag-Mart employees to keep active and fosters a healthy work environment.
